Dr. Robin DiAngelo Discusses ‘Nice Racism’

As the celebration of Black August continues, there is a question about the role white people play in the fight for justice and equality.

There have been numerous books written to investigate whiteness as a social construct such as “How the Irish Became White,” by Noel Ignatiev, and “The Invention of the White Race” by Theodore Allen. Dr. Robin DiAngelo is known to write books about race relations such as NYT bestseller “White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism.”

Now, she has a new book called "Nice Racism: How Progressive White People Perpetuate Racial Harm.” Dr. DiAngelo joins Marc Lamont Hill on “Black News Tonight” to talk about her latest book.
